Avant-Garde at its best, this blog is here to agitate the masses. A proud social deviant, I'm here to make it known that our society, as popular as it may be, needs to be called out on some shit! Like the cool kids in high school who we all look up to, but know aren't going to go far in life. Mainstream society is alright, and some of it can even be the bees-knees, but what about the other side? This is the voice of underground thought.

Lady Love. . .That's Me

Hi! My name is Tia and I have a million and one thoughts floating around my normal sized head. At least I think its normal-sized. I'm a member of the American society, and not necessarily proud of it. True we are the land of the free and we're hosted as the best country in the world, it doesn't stop me from feeling complete disgust when I'm reminded of the many injustices we still have to deal with today.
I'm not political at all, but if I had to put myself into any category, I would be liberal. I believe that everybody, not just one specific group should be able to enjoy all of the freedoms spelled out in our beloved constitution. Gays should be able to marry, women should be allowed to make the choice on a matter that would impact their lives drastically, etc. Not only am I a liberal "politician," I am against the way our country forces individuals to feel the need to belong.
I believe that people are like snowflakes. No two are alike. Out of 6.7 billion people in the world, not one of us was made in the exact image and likeness of another.  We're born different, and that's how we're supposed to travel our journey on Earth. Being different. Diversity is the spice of life. So why is our country so hung up on everybody being thin/built like a bodybuilder and rich as Donald Trump???? Thin is not always in with all situations, and though I'm definitely not against being rich, I don't think our society should be fueled by the desire to be the richest person in the world. It creates some pretty bad situations, if you haven't noticed. Our society is fucked up in so many different ways, and I'm here to remove the wool from everyone's eyes.
Our magazines, most of the mainstream ones, are trash. I, like everyone else, read them, because they are entertaining. But it becomes a problem when our young men and women, still searching for ways to identify themselves, look to these pages for their values and views on life.
Sex is great. And so are romantic relationships. But I don't think that these things should be toted as ways to identify yourself in our society. They are important, but not instrumental to human existence. So I'm here to start a movement. To publicize the other side of the spectrum. The other schools of thought that exist on the philosophy of Life in modern America.
I love America, but its time to reconstruct this bitch. Seriously. That's what I'm all about :)
